Akins Ford's 10-Year/100,000-Mile Limited Powertrain Warranty Coverage

When you purchase a new Ford SUV or F-150 from Akins Ford in Winder, GA, you will be covered by the 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty. With the Powertrain Limited Warranty Coverage, we will replace, and repair covered components on your Ford excluding Bronco, Raptor, and Lightning vehicles during the warranty period.

While the 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty will not cover regular maintenance and normal wear and tear, it will cover other components for 100,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. Read on to learn about these components from our team of experts.

What Does the Limited Powertrain Warranty Cover?

Repairs Covered Under Powertrain Limited Warranty

The Powertrain Limited Warranty includes replacement, repair, and servicing of all covered components that are found to be defective in factory-supplied materials or workmanship during the warranty period. Moreover, every warranty repair of the covered components is done with remanufactured parts, new parts, or other parts of similar quality to ensure that your vehicle’s performance is not compromised.

Deductible

Repairs completed under the Powertrain Limited Warranty have a standard $200 deductible per repair visit.

Vehicle Care

To take advantage of the Powertrain Limited Warranty, you must operate your vehicle properly and maintain it according to the maintenance schedule in the service guide (which is a part of the owner’s guide). Additionally, you may have to submit proof of maintenance if the question arises as to whether a malfunction is caused by a lack of proper maintenance or a defect in factory-supplied materials. But suppose your vehicle has not been getting scheduled maintenance as mentioned in the service guide. In that case, the warranty coverage will be invalidated for the parts affected by the lack of care.

24-Hour Roadside Assistance

As a part of the Powertrain Limited Warranty, you can call Ford Roadside at 1800-241-3673 for roadside assistance. The 24-hour roadside assistance includes flat tire changes, battery jump starts, towing service up to $100, out-of-fuel assistance, lockout assistance, emergency travel reimbursement (up to $1000 within the first five days of occurrence), and destination assistance covering shuttle, taxi, or rental car expense up to $75.

Limitation to the Original Holder

The Powertrain Limited Warranty is limited to you. If you sell your vehicle while the warranty is in effect, the Powertrain Limited Warranty will be terminated.
