Among its advantages, the 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor® boasts a more powerful V6 engine, lofty towing and payload capacities, and plenty of standard off-road amenities. Three versions of the F-150 Tremor® will be offered, each featuring a Raptor-style bash plate, off-road running boards, and optional new off-road technologies such as enhanced Trail Control, Trail One-Pedal Drive, and Trail Turn Assist. Compared to the traditional F-150 truck, the Tremor® also offers an upgraded suspension with increased suspension travel, approach, breakover, and departure angles. That being said, the truck’s off road geometry isn't quite as impressive as the that of the Jeep Gladiator. Pricing has not yet been released for the 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor®, but the package is expected to raise the truck’s price tag about $4,000.
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator offers a higher ground clearance and off-road specs with superior approach, departure, and breakover angles than the new F-150 Tremor®. It’s also the only of the two to feature a removable roof and doors for open-air off-roading. The breadth of terrain-conquering features is equally as impressive depending on which model you choose. The Gladiator is available in eight model grades—Sport, Sport S, Willys, Overland, 80th Anniversary, Mojave, Rubicon, and High Altitude. Pricing will range from $33,565 - $51,765 MSRP depending on your choice.
Our verdict? The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is the best option for truck owners looking to travel across truly unruly terrain, but drivers looking for an inspiring blend of off-road performance and towing prowess might find what they're looking for in the 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor® .
