If the Ford EcoSport were a real live human being, it would just now be leaving its toddler years and the team here at Akins Ford would be in desperate need of some sleep. Thankfully the EcoSport is not a tot but a playful crossover that has offered a steady stream of convenient features to owners since the automotive stork delivered it in 2018. Just the same our love for the spry little ute only seems to grow more profound each year.
In this comparison, we explore the updates and enhancements that can be found in the 2021 Ford EcoSport versus the outgoing 2020 Ford EcoSport crossover.
The Ford EcoSport is available in four trim levels: S, SE, SES and Titanium. The 2021 model year for the EcoSport is characterized by a new appearance package not previously available on the lineup. An all-new SE Appearance Package available on the EcoSport SE model adds new 17-inch black alloy wheels, a 6-way power driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, orange instrument panel appliqués, and unique cloth upholstery with orange copper accents. The SES Black Appearance Package is now standard on all EcoSport SES models, adding darkened accents with the black roof, spoiler, and hood decal.
The 2021 Ford EcoSport premieres with bold new Blue Metallic and Luxe Yellow colors joining alongside returning options like Ruby Red, Lightning Blue, Smoke, Shadow Black, Moondust Silver, White Platinum, Race Red, and Diamond White. Discontinued colors Blue Candy Metallic and Canyon Ridge will remain available only on EcoSport models from the 2020 lineup and earlier.
