Active Park Assist vs Active Park Assist 2.0
So, what sets these systems apart? Ford’s Active Park Assist feature helps handle parallel parking. Once the system locates a suitable parking space, it takes on the task of steering the vehicle into place. All you need to do is follow along as the system guides you through shifting, accelerating and braking. A step up the line, the available Enhanced Active Park Assist system works exactly like the traditional Active Park Assist system but this time with more funcions. On top of parallel parking, the system can help you get out of a tight parallel parking spot. It also provides assistance in reverse perpendicular parking situations.
Now available on select 2020 Ford models, Active Park Assist 2.0 is the automaker’s latest and most advanced version of parking-assistance technology. Just shift into Neutral, release the brake pedal and hold down the park assist button. That’s it! The system does the rest, managing steering, shifting, braking and accelerating.
