The best fuel economy numbers offered on the 2017 F-150 come with the available 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6 EcoBoost engine. This impressive power sources is able to earn an estimated 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highways. These excellent estimates do not come with a sacrifice in performance. This EcoBoost engine is able to deliver 325 horsepower and 375 pound feet of torque.
While unable to match the performance of the 2.7-liter EcoBoost, the other engines offered on the F-150 still earn respectable mile per gallon numbers. Base trims come equipped with a 3.5-liter V-6 that earns 18 city/24 highway miles per gallon. Also available are a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 that delivers 18 city/25 highway miles per gallon and a 5.0-liter V-8 that checks in at 15 city/22 highway.
