What is special about the 2022 Ford Explorer ST-line model?
Ford Explorer, now in its sixth generation, improves on its strengths in the highly competitive midsize SUV market. The expanded lineup gives customers even more choices, whether they want the on-road performance of rear-wheel drive or the performance-inspired style without the maximum Explorer ST performance.
Is Explorer ST available as rear-wheel-drive-only?
The 2022 Explorer ST comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive is optionally available. This helps provide on-road performance and more alternatives to the SUV drivers. A 3.0-liter EcoBoost® engine with 400 horsepower and 415 lb.-ft. of torque and a 10-speed automated transmission power the vehicle. The optional availability of the four-wheel drive powertrain also helps save some money for the people who don’t need it.
