One of the most famous, widely-known pickup trucks is the Ford F150, and for good reason. This vehicle has been around for a number of years and has proven itself to be reliable, sturdy, durable and efficient. It has received makeovers throughout the years to keep up with the changing times, but the F150 has always remained true at its center, which is being a full-blooded American pickup truck with a ton of power, an efficient engine and an easy-to-handle drivetrain.
This year the F150 is made using military-grade aluminum alloy, which was a first in the industry and even though there were a few skeptics, the new construction method proved to be a great thing. The aluminum body now means that the vehicle dropped 700 pounds and that makes it more efficient and environmentally friendly than ever. In addition, it is actually more powerful and safer than other model years!
Looking forward, we are expecting the 2016 Ford F150 to also be constructed using the same military-grade aluminum alloy materials as the 2015 model year so it will be just as strong and just as efficient, but will likely contain a few new features and advanced technology bits including an all-new trailer towing assistance system and brighter, more powerful LED headlights that can be seen up to a mile away.
It will also likely still keep the ever-efficient EcoBoost engine which provides an ample amount of power but still keeps the best fuel efficiency ratings possible, but we know that it will also come with an available propane-capable engine.
There is not yet an official 2016 Ford F150 release date Atlanta GA or an expected arrival date for our Atlanta/Athens-area dealership, but we are expecting to see it in our dealership showroom later this year!
