How to Turn Your Ford Adaptive Headlights On and Off
Adaptive headlamps are new to the Ford lineup for 2020 and can be found on several new vehicles on the Akins Ford lot. This new feature provides better visibility during nighttime driving by pivoting your headlights to illuminate past curves in the road. Follow our guide to learn how this feature works and how to turn your Ford Adaptive Headlamps on and off.
How Do Adaptive Headlamps Work?
Designed to activate at speeds above 3 mph, Adaptive Headlamps track the bends in the road using your steering wheel input and pivot your headlights accordingly to better illuminate the road ahead. If the road you’re traveling has lane markings, the inside beam will extend its reach for a better view into the adjacent lane.
How to Enable Adaptive Headlamps
STEP 1: Select SETTINGS on the touchscreen with the vehicle in park.
STEP 2: Select VEHICLE, then LIGHTING.
STEP 3: Slide the ADAPTIVE HEADLAMPS button on.
