Sync 3 Features
Ford’s new Sync 3 system includes several great features, including voice recognition, hands-free phone calls and navigation. Through Sync AppLink, users have access to dozens of great apps, such as Pandora, Spotify, Ford PASS and AAA member services. Sync 3 has replaced the MyFord Touch infotainment system that was offered on previous models.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Capabilities
Apple CarPlay is compatible with iPhone 5 models and later. CarPlay will display the iPhone screen directly onto the car’s touchscreen display. Users can access apps like Apple Maps, Apple Music as well as phone calling and messaging.
Android Auto is available on Android 5.0 or higher devices. It also allows for access to a variety of phone apps directly from the car’s infotainment screen, including calling, messaging Google maps and other third party apps.
