The standard engine for the new Ford Escape SE and SEL trim levels is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with Auto Start-Stop technology that provides you with 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. Last but certainly not least, the standard engine for the new Ford Escape Titanium model is a 2.0-liter Twin Scroll EcoBoost engine with Auto Start-Stop technology that provides you with 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. You’ll get a 6-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift capability no matter which 2018 Ford Escape trim level you choose.
What are the Other New Ford Escape Trim Level Differences?
The differences between the four new Ford Escape models are more than just what’s found under the hood. More specifically, 2018 Ford Escape S and SE trim levels include four 12-volt powerpoints, whereas 2018 Ford Escape SEL and Titanium trim levels include only three. If you want an enhanced Sony audio system complete with 10 speakers, a remote start system, Intelligent Access with push-button start and the SYNC 3 infotainment system featuring an 8-inch color LCD capacitive touchscreen, AppLink, 911 Assist and two smart-charging USB ports, you’re going to want to purchase a new Ford Escape Titanium. If you’re only interested in the SYNC 3 infotainment system out of that list, then you can purchase a new Ford Escape SEL.
