The extensive list of new technology and connectivity features for the 2017 Ford Explorer begins a bang, as the new SYNC 3 voice-activated infotainment system complete with optional navigation system and the FordPass app compatibility is available. You may not know what the FordPass app is, but it allows you to use your smartphone to contact your dealer, schedule maintenance, request roadside assistance and more. Additional new technology and connectivity features in the new Ford Explorer include front and rear 180-degree cameras, a forward sensing system, an available hands-free foot-activated liftgate, an available Intelligent Access key, available dual second-row smart-charging USB ports, SiriusXM radio, available SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, Intelligent all-wheel drive with the Terrain Management System, an available 500-watt Sony premium audio system complete with Live Acoustics and Clear Phase, active grille shutters, air curtains and automatic high-beams.
