How Safe is the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E?
The automotive news cycle keeps circling back to the new Mustang Mach-E this year as awards and accolades accumulate in the first Ford EUV’s repertoire. Now the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E has proven its dedication to driver and passenger safety enough to earn a TOP SAFETY PICK award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E took home its TOP SAFETY PICK award after acing all six IIHS crashworthiness tests with ‘Good’ ratings – the top possible results in those categories. The 2021 Mach-E also received a top rating of ‘Superior’ for its front crash prevention system in both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations.
Four versions of the Mach-E are available this year: Select, Premium, First Edition, California Route 1, and GT. The TOP SAFETY PICK designation applies to all 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E models sold. This is only the latest addition to a rather lengthy list of awards already earned by the Mustang Mach-E, including:
