2.0L GDI 4-Cylinder Engine
The standard option on the 2020 Ford Transit Connect is a 2.0-liter gasoline direct injection 4-cylinder engine paired with an 8-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission. Cranking out 162 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque, the base setup offers more than enough power to handle commercial applications with ease. The Transit Connect also prioritizes efficiency with fuel-saving Auto Start-Stop technology, which automatically shuts off the engine during idling and restarts when your foot leaves the brake.

Available only for fleet customers, drivers can also opt for the available 2.5-liter iVCT 4-cylinder gas engine with CNG/LPG gaseous fuel prep package. A 6-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission matches with this setup. The fleet-only option maxes the model out to 169 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque.
