Horsepower and Torque Ratings for the New Engine Choices of the 2018 Ford Escape
One of the aspects of the 2018 Ford Escape that we love the most here at Akins Ford near Atlanta, GA, is that it lets you choose between three capable and fuel efficient engine options. More specifically, you get to choose between a 2.5-liter I-4 engine providing 168 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque, a 1.5-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine providing 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine providing 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. The new Ford Escape lineup also lets you choose either front-wheel drive or Intelligent four-wheel drive. In terms of transmission, all three engines team up with a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
