2016 Ford F-150 Police Truck Modifications
The F-150 is the best-selling vehicle in America, and now it is ready to protect America’s law enforcement officers. The F-150 Special Services Vehicle will be the latest addition to Ford’s extensive lineup of law enforcement vehicles. Several 2016 Ford F-150 police truck modifications have been done to create this amazing new vehicle.
Law Enforcement F-150 New Features
Functionality and versatility are the foremost concerns for the police F-150. In order to provide law enforcement agencies with a practical and functional vehicle, Ford has made several significant modifications. Vinyl flooring has been used as a replace for the carpet to make cleanup easier.

In order to prepare the F-150 for the potential of long periods of idling, the stock alternator has been replaced by a high-output 240-amp unit. Instead of the 40/20/40 front seat standard on the civilian F-150, the Special Services Vehicle utilizes a 40/blank/40 setup. This allows for more customization with the center area, preparing the truck to meet any need.
Police F-150 Engine Options
Two engines are available on the Ford F-150 Special Services Vehicle. The truck can be equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine that maximizes power or an EcoBoost 3.5-liter engine that offers the best fuel economy. Both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models are available in either the SuperCrew or SuperCab configurations.
The great amount of storage space offered by the pickup bed sets the F-150-based Special Service Vehicle apart from other law enforcement vehicles. In addition to all of this storage space, the two cab configurations offered help the truck comfortably seat up to five people. Very few trucks will be able to match the capabilities of the 2016 Ford F-150 Special Service Vehicle.
