Ford dealerships everywhere have welcomed the arrival of the 2017 Ford Fusion. The latest version of this great midsize sedan offers a ton of versatility through several engine options and a long list of standard and available features. So how many engines does Ford offer on the 2017 Fusion?
2017 Ford Fusion Engine Options
After you decide on the Fusion, you’ll have four engine options to choose from. Standard equipment on the Fusion S and SE trims includes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine offers 175 horsepower while earning an estimated 22 city/34 highway miles per gallon.

If fuel economy is a significant concern, the turbocharged EcoBoost 1.5-liter four-cylinder available on the SE trim is the way to go. This engine earns 25 miles per gallon on the city and 37 miles per gallon on the highway while producing 181 horsepower. An automatic stop/start features helps the engine save even more fuel.
A second EcoBoost engine is also offered on the SE trim and included as standard equipment on the Fusion Titanium and Fusion Platinum. This 2.0-liter four-cylinder produces more power, checking in at 240 horsepower. Fuel economy estimates on the 2.0-liter EcoBoost are rated at 22 city/33 highway miles per gallon.
But for the best power numbers, the Fusion Sport trim is the way to go. This performance-oriented model comes equipped with a powerful, turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine that maxes out the Fusion’s horsepower rating at 325. To help out this powerful engine, the Fusion Sport adds several great performance features, including quad exhaust tips, a rear spoiler and adjustable suspension dampers.
