How to sync my iPhone 6 with Ford SYNC
The latest model year Fords are equipped to handle just about anything and contain a slew of advanced technology that many drivers are finding to be very, very useful. One of the most useful and popular features of the new model year Ford vehicles is Ford SYNC, which is Ford’s elite infotainment system that can do everything from place and answer phone calls and texts to provide real-time traffic and weather updates, as well as turn-by-turn navigation.
However, the catch is in order to have all of these features work, you need to have a wireless device that has Bluetooth connectivity. This means pairing your wireless device with the SYNC system. One of the more difficult systems to pair recently has been the iPhone 6/6s or any iPhone that includes a new operating system right as it was released.
Because Apple and Ford both use independent systems, it may take a day or two for the technology to sync up, but when you get everything up-to-date and connected, you will receive a message on your phone or other wireless device confirming the connection.

There have been a few people who have noticed that they are having difficulty syncing their new iPhone 6 with their new Ford, but one thing we have found that works is to unpair the system and the device. This acts as a reset function and especially when there was an iOS update, that can make a huge difference.
With the latest update of Ford SYNC and iOS, the pairing issues that drivers were seeing in the past that included dropped calls have for the most part been eliminated. The trick is needing to update to at least the iOS 8.1 system. After you do that, we also recommend repairing your devices.
If you are still having issues pairing or using Ford SYNC, you can call the Ford SYNC line directly at 877-945-3648. This will put you in touch with a Ford SYNC expert who can help you sync your device seamlessly.
