All you need to do is plug the small Ford SmartLink device into the OBD II port below your steering wheel. With that, your 2010-2016 Ford model that isn’t equipped with a modem access will be able to offer you features such as smartphone-based remote start, lock and unlock, a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot capable of accepting up to eight devices, vehicle health and security alerts and vehicle location assistance features. You’ll even be able to schedule service appointments right from your smartphone. It’s as easy as that.
